The first site seemed to attract more traffic and directory submissions and article syndication seemed to both contribute significantly to that site&#039;s success. The second thing is that the #2 site was built on an aged domain that recently changed ownership. Google has stated that they take into account domain ownership history within their algorithm, so it may have negatively impacted the site&#039;s ability to rank well otherwise.
