At least you got a clear response! It's been over a week and I'm still waiting on an explination as to why my
ads sudddenly got "disapproved" status and I've been running them for months. I keep getting these auto responses.
Either someone's asleep at the wheel or they've fired alot of the drivers.

Thank god I didnt pass Google's interview for adsense executive. I would have been a part of your jokes. Most of the time, they reply from canned replies which are suggested by the system. The executives just cut and paste it to you. This is because everybody has a target to complete. So many number of cases to be handled per day.

@Singapore SEO - Having a post graduate degree from an ivy league university doesn't guarantee that someone is not a dumbass. Sometimes being so smart actually makes one dumb to the point that they can't even see what's obvious.

In this case it sounds like a case of just not listening properly and not addressing the questions being asked mixed in with jumping to the wrong conclusions. I guess it takes "smart" people to make the simple complicated.

Disapproved ads can be the most infuriating part of my day!

A recent case I found was that I had to amend my ad destination URLs in Google with my new Doubleclick clickserver redirects.

When I uploaded - what did I get across my client's entire account? Disapproved ads for incorrect display URL (because of the redirects).

I then spent the best part of 6 hours trying to get hold of someone at Google - to no avail. It took over 24 hours for the ads to be manually approved - alot of lost revenue in that time!

You would have thought that Google and Doubleclick would be working 'closer' together these days!

You need a master degree or Ph.D. from ivory league universities in order to work at Google. I don't know that they are hiring "dumbass" at Google too.

Ouch! With service like that, this might be the time to push Google to give you dedicated account reps that are more senior level. While I've experienced service from more junior adwords reps who dish out cookie-cutter answers, I've never heard of anything this bad.

Our past and current reps are really on the ball and are very quick to respond to problems and questions. That said, I do my best to avoid talking to just any rep from the adwords main line because it's a bit of a mixed bag - you never know who or what you'll get.

@ Geoff - shambles is right. Maybe GG will take note of the issue and come up with a better option for long domain clients

@ Raoul - true enough! Heh heh. Thanks for dropping in - please send hugs to Soph and Atticus for me

Hah, what a shambles. It was only the other day actually, I was wondering what would happen in the instance where the clients domain was longer than the 35 characters allowed for the display URL so thanks, you have answered my query for me, heh.

I certainly won't be looking forward to such time that I might have to run PPC for a long domain name now based on your experiences. :p
