@Wendy - thanks for that, I missed the first Webstock so the Museum project was a new treat for me. But was very interested because I had presented to them a few years ago about the search engine incompatibility of their site. Delighted to see it being addressed in such a pro-active, well thought out manner

@Tim - it's probably not clear from the post, but it was written while live blogging Russ's presentation at http://www.webstock.org.nz yesterday. I have yet to go in and add relevant links, images etc. Any links in the post right now are added automatically by a WordPress plug-in based on keywords and context. I'll edit the post as soon as I can - this was only live-blogged yesterday!

As an expat Aussie taking my first commercial steps into the web, I was intrigued to see how an innovative team worked. Call it Web 2 or whatever it is a thing of wonder. But one basic question, whilst i appreciate Kalena YOUR primary motivating force is to lift YOUR own head above the crowd, as you strive to prove "ranking is king", why dont you, like the major newspapers, provide a direct link to the site in question? After reading this article, that is what I I I want. So I will go there now, I will probably not bother with reading the rest of your stuff today because not only has my interest in the museum been piqued, but you have annoyed ME ME ME by your lack of consideration for what I I I may want. All the links to viral marketing, Bookmarking, Social Networks etc. do not interest me because I I I REMAIN the core of MY MY MY universe NOT you :)
